Riding to School

Bus 12 and Bus 30 will not stop at the school stop during this time. Please take Bus 18 instead. It stops in front of the bookstore.

Drivers, please use the highway or the small road behind the market. Do not park your car in front of the tunnel.

Coming to See You

Hi Grandma,

I will visit you next Saturday. I am going to take the train because the highway is always full of cars on weekends.

My train leaves Taipei at 8:20 in the morning and arrives at 11:00. Please do not come to the station. I can walk to your house from there. It only takes ten minutes.

Mother says she will make your favorite fish soup that day. I will bring some flowers, too. I will call you tonight after dinner.

Bicycles in the City

More and more people in Taiwan ride bicycles to work. A bicycle is cheap, and it does not make the air dirty. It is also good for your health.

Our city is proud of its new bike paths along the river. In the northern part of the city, the paths are even wider. Riders do not need to share the road with cars, so the ride is safe and quiet.

Of course, there are problems. After a heavy rain, riding is not fun. And a flat tire is a big problem on a busy day. Still, most riders say they will keep riding.
