Colors can change how we feel. Many people say blue is a quiet color. It makes them calm, but too much blue can also make them sad.
Red is a strong color. It can make people excited, and sometimes angry. That is why some restaurants use red walls. In some parts of Asia, red also means good luck.
Bright yellow is like the sun. Doctors say it can make a dark room feel warm and happy.
Dear Kevin,
I am writing to say sorry. Last Friday I was mad at you in the classroom, and I said something bad. I was not angry with you. I got a low grade that morning, and I felt down all day.
You are my best friend, and I do not want to lose you. Can we eat hamburgers together after school tomorrow?
Please write back.
Ted
Our school will hold a Lantern Festival party this Friday evening.
Students may bring their own lanterns. We will have hot soup and dumplings for everyone.
Do not bring any fire or matches. Teachers will give you a small light instead. Please tell your parents to pick you up before nine.
Fifty students answered a question about tests.
| Feeling | Boys | Girls |
|---|---|---|
| Nervous | 11 | 14 |
| Excited | 6 | 3 |
| Sleepy | 5 | 4 |
| Nothing special | 3 | 4 |
Twenty-five boys and twenty-five girls answered. Each student chose only one feeling. The teacher will talk about the results next week.
